Have you ever made a wish on a
star? Maybe even at 11:11. You wish for anything reasonable or not.
Everyone has done it but in the book Wish by Alexandra Bullen it says being a wishaholic doesn’t get you what
you want. When you wish for what you need is when you are given the chance of a
lifetime a real wish come true. “Some girls are wishaholics… I don’t look for
those girls. I look for those who know what a wish is worth.” When I think back
I mostly wish for stupid things like a great time tomorrow, to win the lottery,
or even be able to do a handstand the next day. Its not that these
things not matter is just that there are diffidently more important things you
need and taking the fact that you have some of these things for granted just
makes it easier for you to never get a wish because a good wish is something that
you need and possible can't live without.
In the book the main character,
Olivia wants only one thing her sister back. “What I really needed was Violet”.
What she needed not just wanted in the moment. It’s not just like one of those
things where you’re going with your friends shopping and your friend gets a
shirt and automatically you want it also. It’s not just the toy you see in the
window. It’s the thing that you think about all day long, that you dream about,
the thing you wish for.
There is always something beyond
your beliefs or dreams but you don’t always know what it is. But if and when you
do find it you know that what ever that is that you’re looking for it’s
important to you. Not every time you’re going to go on a journey to find your
wish but however you find it you know that it’s important. This can connect to
anything. If you’re trying to find a career you don’t just go for the first one
you find you go for the one that your heart is in. When you’re picking a book
you don’t go for the one that you’re not interested in you go for one that you
know you will fall in love with on the first line. There is always a case where
you need to go with your heart on something that you think you need.
