Mystery, what is it? Is it haunted? Is it scary? Is it funny? These things really just depend on your opinion. Do they? Miss Peregrine’s home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs is a very quirky book you could say. It weird to explain do you get a book where it’s impossible to describe? This book so far doesn’t have a plot yet, I am only in the beginning but the plots just not there. This book you either believe it or don’t believe it. But you will never know if it’s real or not. That’s apart of the mystery but its up to you to find your answer.
Believing. If you believe there for sure will be people who don’t agree and question you on it. But it doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Not Believing. People will still come up with reasons why it’s real as would you about if being fake. But on another note does it change your reading experience on a book if you believe it or not? I think it does. If you believe it you might believe its going to happen or have nightmares. If you don’t believe, then throughout the book you might, just be thinking this is unreal or not find it interesting. There is not wrong or right answer but if can change your reading experience if you believe or not.
Each book is different but now reading this one it makes me think… How has believing or not effected my life inside and outside reading books? Believing in Santa Claus, did I? For some time yes but not forever and now when Christmas is around I’m not as excited as I used to be. Easter Bunny, did I? Nope never did and now I don’t even know what that is about. These things are just little examples of how believing or not can change anything for you. Especially when it comes to believing in yourself.
I totally agree with you on this subject. Believing in things can definitely change your reality. Another good example, I think, is how when I was younger I went to a catholic school. We had at least a half hour e4ach day of religious education. They would cram our heads with bible stories and beliefs, whether we wanted it or not. For most of my childhood, I believed in God and Jesus and all that jazz. But now I'm not so sure. Beliefs can evolve over time, like how you felt/feel about Santa Claus. I feel like beliefs like yours for Santa Claus, and mine for God are common evolutions throughout childhood. It just sort of happens as you grow and change into who you are supposed to become.
